Name Idea Box is designed to work without an account. The site does not currently operate a user-profile database, sell personal information, or ask for payment information.
Information processed when you use the site
Generator inputs
When you use an AI-assisted generator, the options and text you submit are sent to a Name Idea Box server route and then to Replicate so the requested results can be produced. For the Baby Name Generator, this may include preferences such as style, origin, a middle or last name, sibling names, parent names, and optional notes.
Do not enter sensitive personal information. Replicate states that, by default, input parameters, output values, output files, and logs for API predictions are automatically removed after one hour. Its separate privacy policy and service practices also apply.
Browser storage
Saved name ideas and favorites are stored in your browser using local storage. They remain on that device and browser until you remove them, clear site data, or use browser controls that remove local storage. Name Idea Box does not currently sync those saved lists to an account.
Analytics
In production, Name Idea Box uses Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and product interaction. Google Analytics may process information such as device and browser details, approximate location, referral information, pages viewed, and interaction events. Google controls its own processing and retention under its policies and the configuration of the analytics property.
How information is used

Third-party services
The site currently relies on Replicate for AI model access and Google Analytics for site analytics. It also links to external services such as X and domain registrars. When you follow an external link, that service's terms and privacy practices apply.
Your choices
You can remove saved names by using the site's favorite controls or by clearing this site's local storage in your browser. You can limit cookies and analytics using browser settings, privacy tools, or Google's available opt-out controls. Blocking storage may prevent saved-name features from working as expected.
Children's privacy
The Baby Name Generator is intended for parents and other adults, not for children to submit personal information. Name Idea Box does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security and retention
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Name Idea Box keeps no account-based saved-name database at this time. Third-party providers retain information according to their own settings and policies, which may change over time.
